Haala Marikar is a 20 year old award-winning essayist, writer and poet. Her debut volume of poetry “A Thousand Paper Cranes” was published in 2019. Her writings have been published in various national and international magazines, and she has also won several awards in slam poetry. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Biotechnology at one of Pakistan’s leading universities.
