STRANGE INC. PRESS

Program Overview

Strange Inc. Press is a selective literary imprint producing 1–3 titles per year. We do not publish volume. We publish with care — manuscripts that have been editorially held, theologically considered, and produced to a standard the tradition deserves.

What We Publish

Literary fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and works for young readers. All manuscripts undergo full editorial review and theological coherence screening. Production is managed through a structured workflow with defined sign-off authority at every stage.

Why This Matters

Reading for pleasure at age 7 predicted fewer emotional problems and better prosocial behavior at age 11 (Millennium Cohort Study, n=8,936). A 16-country analysis in Nature Medicine found that creative engagement in community was robustly associated with higher life satisfaction and lower depression. Books are not peripheral to Muslim flourishing. They are formation infrastructure.

How We Think About This

A book is not a product. It is a formed offering.

We believe publishing is a form of stewardship — of the author’s work, of the reader’s attention, of the culture’s imagination. What enters shared space matters. What a community reads shapes what it is able to think and feel and become.

Strange Inc. Press does not publish to fill a shelf. We publish to put something real in the reader’s hands. Work that ordered perception rather than disordering it. Work that was held with care before it was held by a reader.
