SUPPORT THE WORK

Strange Inc. builds cultural infrastructure rooted in disciplined creativity and long-term responsibility.

Why Support

Every civilization that has lasted has had institutions that held its creative life with care.
Not platforms. Not trends. Institutions — structures with standards, with memory, with the discipline to say no to what does not belong and yes to what endures. Strange Inc. is that kind of institution for Muslim creative culture.

We are building something with a long horizon. Publishing that holds manuscripts with editorial care. Formation programs that shape the maker before they worry about the work. Festivals that prove Muslim creative culture has depth, beauty, and a community willing to gather for it. Grants that say to an emerging Muslim creative: we see you, before anyone else does.

The research behind this work is serious. The WHO has confirmed that active creative engagement measurably reduces depression and anxiety across the lifespan. Harvard’s Human Flourishing Program has identified communal practice as one of the strongest protective factors against despair. Islamic psychology — now institutionalized at Stanford, Cambridge, and Qatar — is demonstrating what the tradition’s scholars always knew: the sound heart and the disciplined hand are not separate goods. They are a single formation.

Strange Inc.’s work sits at the intersection of all three. When you support this institution, you are not funding a program. You are sustaining the upstream conditions for Muslim creative flourishing — for the long term, at the level where it actually matters.
